Cruise Choices From Nj

This Christmas do not buy plastic toys

Why wooden toys are better than plastic?

On the web there are many articles on this subject, mostly in English. I want to translate a part of a it seemed clear that, for those who did not know English well:

plastic ... the modern games, with high tech features are created primarily to entertain and distract children and are sovrastimolanti often. They are rarely designed to make learning something or promote genuine creativity. The games are not plastic Nenci nearly as durable as wooden games and tend to lose parts break often and become - without-residents of landfills, rather than being passed from generation to generation. Not to mention the fact that many games Conventional plastic has often been invoked for violation of safety standards (lead paint, ..) is reviewable on potenzaiale toxicity and multiple hazards that are too numerous to mention here.

Certainly not all wooden toys are inspired by the gifts and it is true that you delete them to the trees but in my experience the quality, creativity and inspiration contained in the bulk of wooden toys available in Europe and elsewhere makes it seem the plastic, well, mediocre plastic (note that many companies that produce wooden toys are now taking the wood from renewable forests).

The wooden toys are known for inventive and inspiring games really imagination in children. This may be due to the flexibility inherent in most of the wooden toys and the absence of a type of game "imposed" requested by so many plastic toys that emit sounds and various rings.

Alun studies have shown that educational games engineered wood lateral thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as help build fine motor skills.
... "

In short, wooden toys:
  • last longer 'games of plastic and are passed from father to son (or switch to siblings, friends ..)
  • are recyclable (Wood is recyclable material) and can come from renewable sources (as opposed to plastic)
  • are safer for the health of children (games are often removed from plastic manufacturers because it turns out that emit toxic substances)
  • encouraging more creativity , lateral thinking, problem solving ability (unlike those of plastic).
This Christmas we buy less, we gain in wood !
